Hi! I'm Kristen, the newest addition to the airstaff. I'm so excited to be here! Let's see...I'll give you the basic background... I grew up in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia called Kennesaw. If you have EVER heard of Kennesaw...you MUST e-mail me! I've always loved Louisiana. In fact, my mom grew up in Slidell...she actually has a class ring from Slidell High School. So when I tell you how proud I am to be working in this great city...you have to know...I seriously mean it! My husband, Steve and I have been married for 11 years. We have two not so little boys. Connor is nine years old. Cooper is five. Just add Fletcher the Dog to the mix and there you have it - Me and My (all boy) Gang. I have to admit though, being the only chick in the house has its perks!
I became a fan of country music when Garth Brooks and Clint Black were the big dogs. It's changed so much since the early 90's. But one thing is for sure - it's still the best format of music on the radio. And there is no doubt in my mind that it's the most popular format of music. You'd be hard pressed to find somebody who doesn't like a Keith Urban song...or Sugarland...or Kenny Chesney...or Faith Hill...or George Strait. Okay, I'll stop. I could go on forever!
And since we're getting to know each other - I might as well admit that I have a major addiction to the board game SORRY. I know it's random, but it's true. I like to play two colors (blue and green) and I only like to play against one other person. I know...get a life, right? Nonetheless, it's my most favorite thing to do when I have free time.

Kellie Pickler may have gained a new hubby in the last year, but she’s lost a beloved friend – her cat, Pickles – who she had for more than five years. It turns out Kellie’s husband, Kyle, is allergic to cats. So Kellie made the sacrifice to find Pickles a new home. She placed him with a family back in her home state of North Carolina.

Blake Shelton and The Band Perry will perform with five-time Grammy winner Glen Campbell at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. Blake has been nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for “Honey Bee” and Best Country Album for Red River Blue. The Band Perry is nominated in the all-genre category for Best New Artist. The Grammy’s will air live a week from Sunday on CBS.
