Determining if your MP3 file is compliant.
- Right click the song in list, select [Get Info]. Fig. 1
- Under the [Summary] tab, find Bit Rate. If the value is appended with "(VBR)", you will need to re-encode the MP3. Fig. 2
- Under the [Summary] tab, find ID3 Tag. If the value is "v2" or above, you will need to convert the ID3 tags. Fig. 2
- Select [Edit], then [Preferences].
- Then select the tab labeled [Advanced].
- Now select the tab labeled [Importing]. Fig. 3
- Using the drop down menu next to the heading: [Import Using], select the setting encoding option that says, [MP3 Encoder].
- The next drop down menu below next to the heading: [Setting], change [Automatic] to say [Custom]. A pop-up window will display.

- In the pop-up window under [Stereo Bitrate], choose [192 kpbs].
- Uncheck [Use Variable Bitrate Encoding (VBR)]. Fig. 4
- On main screen, right-click the song in list, select [Convert Selection to MP3].
- Note: This will create a new file, the original file will be left unaltered. Fig. 5
- Right-click song in list, select [Convert ID3 Tags].
- Ensure [ID3 tag version] box is checked. Fig. 6
- Select [v1.1] from dropdown and click [OK].
- Note: This will alter the existing file, if you wish to maintain current ID3v2.x tags, create a copy of the MP3 before performing these steps.
The MP3 file will now conform to Clear Channel standards for ideal streaming quality. Fig. 7
