Yes, you will receive a confirmation e-mail once your submission is approved.

  3. I haven't received a confirmation e-mail. What's going on?

We may not have reviewed your submission yet. All submissions will receive an e-mail confirmation.

  4. Why wasn't my song approved?

When considering music for NEW! (online), we do not accept the following:

If you feel you have been disapproved in error, please contact us at new@clearchannel.com.

  5. Why can't I find my song on NEW! online?

You may have selected music submission option #2 on the sign up form, which does not allow on demand streaming of your song.

  6. After I submit, where does my song go?

When you submit your music, your song is made available to Clear Channel radio programmers in the format(s) selected and the online team.

  7. Do I need to submit my song more than once? Will it increase my chances of being played on-air?

Submitting the same song multiple times will not increase your chances of airplay. You should only submit each song once. Once your submission is approved, the best way to get noticed is to promote your song and increase plays.

  8. Can I submit more than one song or photo?

It is recommended that you submit your best song and photo. If you want to submit more than one song or photo, you must complete multiple submission forms. Your plays and page views will then be separate for each song.

  9. How do I find my song on NEW! ?

You should have received a direct link to your player in the e-mail announcing your approval. We are working to improve NEW! so artists and songs can be sorted by title.

  10. Can I change my song, picture, city/state, website, etc?

Currently, you cannot make changes to your page. We are working to improve NEW! to allow for updates.

  11. Ok, can you change it for me?

Unfortunately, we cannot change your profile.

  12. But I really want my profile updated. What do I do?

You must create a new profile to reflect any changes or updates. If you would like to create a new profile with the same song, please email new@clearchannel.com and tell us the artist name and song name that you would like removed. We will delete the existing profile enabling you to resubmit any changes you'd like to make. At this time we cannot carry over play count; play counts are reset when profile is deleted.

  13. How do I take down my song or profile?

If you want to take down your song, please e-mail us at new@clearchannel.com with your band name and song title and ask for your profile to be deleted. We will delete your profile and you can resubmit if you choose to.

  14. When will my music be played on-air?

On-air radio play is a decision Program Directors make locally at the station level. The more plays you get, the more visible you will be to the station. You increase your chances of being played on air if you promote your song and climb to the top of the NEW! charts.

  15. Can you add my friends' band to NEW! ?

Bands must submit themselves. Please direct your friends to NEW! if they would like to submit music.

  16. Do you have any links or banners that I can place on my homepage?

You should have received a direct link to your player in your confirmation e-mail. In the event that it was lost or misplaced, find your song in NEW! and open your player. Copy the link that is shown at the top of the player -- this can be used to promote your player online. Our banners are under construction and will be available in the future. Stay tuned!

  17. How do I become an Artist to Watch?

The Artists to Watch section of NEW! is dedicated to signed artists. If you become signed, please let us know!

  18. How do I find my song on NEW! ?

When your song was approved, you received an approval e-mail with the deep link to your player. Use it to promote your song and direct fans to your player.

If you lost the e-mail, you can go to NEW! and click on the tab of the format(s) you submitted to (Rock, Hit, etc.). Then, click the link at the bottom that says “Listen To More Artists” – you can then sort by name and find yourself.

  19. Why am I experiencing errors with the submission form?

When you fill out the submission form, please make sure your song is an MP3 under 8MB and your photo is a jpg, gif, or png under 100KB. Errors will occur if you do not comply with these regulations.

You must also fill out all required fields. Please type within these fields - Do not copy/paste from another document (I.E Microsoft Word) as that could cause errors as well.

  20. Why does my song sound distorted? Why doesn’t my song play?

The media uploaded doesn't follow our media encoding guidelines. See below for more information.

  21. How should my MP3 file be encoded?

We recommend that audio submissions are MP3 files encoded at a 192 kbit/s constant bit rate with ID3v1.x tagging to ensure your submission has the best quality we can provide.

To test if your MP3 file is encoded correctly, click here. Note: iTunes player is required to perform this test.

  22. When playing back my song in the New! Player, why are there several seconds of silence at the beginning of the track?

The track you've submitted uses ID3v2 tag information. The use of ID3v2 tagging is not supported by our media server and will result in the extraneous information being played back as silence by Windows Media Player.

  23. Why aren’t my plays being counted?

A play is counted when your song is played in its entirety. Please note: It can take up to 6 minutes for our system to count a play.

Also, play counts are based on individual visits to the player (i.e. you must refresh the player in order for additional plays to count).

  24. I am not located in the United States. Can I still submit to NEW! ?

At this time, we are unable to accept submissions from artists outside of the United States. We are working to improve this in the future.

  25. If my song isn’t an MP3 under 8MB can I send my music to you another way?

At this time, we only accept songs that are MP3’s under 8MB. Additionally, you can only submit your music through our submission form located here. We do not accept snail mail.
